We are proud to report that our quantum differential gravimeter is now operational and complies to our objectives of performances. Developed in tight collaboration with LNE-SYRTE, this instrument is capable of providing a simultaneous measurement of both gravity, g, and its vertical gradient dg/dz. Detailed characterizations have been performed and have confirmed our capability to achieve exceptional performances.
This instrument opens new fantastic perspectives in the field of geophysics and we expect this combined measurement to provide enriched information for the monitoring of geophysical processes, and the detection of underground cavities.
